Follow the Charles “Julio Foolio” Jones Murder Court Proceedings — State of Florida v. Alicia Andrews

The court case of defendant Alicia Andrews of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now in progress in Hillsborough County Court.

The state alleges that she worked as a lookout while Foolio was celebrating his birthday. They claim she kept tabs with others who later cornered the rapper in a Tampa hotel lot.

A group of armed men allegedly fired dozens of rounds, killing him and leaving three others hurt.

Andrews is charged with capital murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Detectives have presented digital evidence that they say tie Andrews to the scene. This includes location tracking data and videos recovered from her online accounts.

Andrews’ lawyer argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. The defense says she was in Tampa for personal reasons.

The case is being followed closely by court Julio Foolio homicide case watchers because the killing is linked to gang tensions.

Day 6 of the trial has focused on phone evidence, with detectives explaining how they tracked cell phone activity across Florida.
